Philosophy in the Wild is a project co-founded by Maja Sidzinska, Zach Agoff, and me, and currently run by Maja, Arthur Obst, Linde De Vroey, and me. It is dedicated to exploring the ways philosophy can look when it is taken out of its technologized built environment.

We host an annual outdoor conference where participants camp for two to three nights and present work in environmental philosophy. We also hang out, hike, ride bikes, swim, paddle, and do whatever else our surroundings afford us. In 2026 we ran two such events; one in Wisconsin and the other outside of Philadelphia.

Past keynote speakers include Anahkwet (Guy Reiter), Sabeen Ahmed, Blake Francis, Karen Kovaka, Brendan Cline, Romy Opperman, and Ryan Johnson.
