Philosophy in the Wild is a project co-founded by Maja Sidzinska, Zach Agoff, and me, and currently run by Maja, Arthur Obst, and me. It is dedicated to exploring the ways philosophy can look when it is taken out of its technologized built environment.
We host an annual outdoor conference where participants camp for two nights and present work in environmental philosophy. 2025 marked our fifth edition, with Blake Francis as the keynote. Past keynote speakers include Karen Kovaka, Brendan Cline, Romy Opperman, and Ryan Johnson.
We also have an ongoing collaboration with the Public Philosophy Journal that can be freely accessed here.
