The Redbud Summer Institute is a project co-founded by Augie Faller, me, and a number of like-minded friends and colleagues. Our goal is to create space for people to learn, think critically, and commune, with a focus on the most pressing issues of our time.

In the summer of 2026 we ran our first summer program, a 5-day pilot with a small group of students from SUNY Oswego, supported by a grant from the APA’s Berry Fund for Public Philosophy. Among other activities, we took field trips to the EcoVillage at Ithaca and Silver Tree Forest Farm.
